Red Bubble weirdness

Responding to this Red Bubble post, I commented:

Gaaa .. all my pipe dreams are far more simple. To have a job that could at least pay my bills, to meet a man who doesn’t want to kill me or use me for a sexy toy but actually likes me as a human being, to have people be polite enough not to smoke things right at me when it makes me ill and gain weight, to have someone to talk to and do things with, besides my sister – like a friend, to sell a modest amount of artwork or have modest publishing success. How do I do it? At this rate, I think it is by becoming someone else, altogether.

Alaska is beautiful. However, keep in mind some very important facts. Anchorage is not Alaska, and, now either is Fairbanks or Palmer. Too many Americans who were kicked out of America for being icky, so lots of thieves and brats.
Don’t hear “the people are friendly” and think it applies across the board. They will rob you blind, many of them, and some of them would just love to rape and shoot you. Too many tourists lose their luggage or bicycles or whatnot because they are disarmed by the small town atmosphere of the biggest city around.
Bears are not safe and either are moose – don’t squeal, don’t run, don’t bother spraying a grizzly with pepper spray or it will be pissed off and think you just spiced yourself.

And, whatever you do, do not ask any Natives if they are King Islanders, no matter how many people tell you they like to talk about it. I

That being said, the people are friendly. No, honest, they are. Most of them, outside of the cities, so long as you don’t walk into their yard uninvited.

Now, I fully expected to be lightly trounced for being a downer; but, what I did not expect was this:
Hi Arletta,
Thanks for taking an interest in my recent journal “Alaska here I come”. You certainly made some very valid points, however I have removed your comment as parts of it fell outside our Community Guidelines.
Kind regards

I asked her which part that is, but, she has yet to make a reply. In the meantime, I read everything on this page and found nothing that had anything to do with my comment.

  • Really? Which part was that?

  • You know what? Don’t even bother answering. You’d love to hear about the Alaskan experience of some stranger, but, a real Alaskan you insult and block, for allegedly breaking some rule they didn’t even break. I read them all and there was NOTHING about my comment, so it must have just been me.
    Goodbye

  • Hi Arletta,
Specifically the part where you said “They will rob you blind, many of them, and some of them would just love to rape and shoot you.” This falls outside our guidelines on personal attack.
“A personal attack is where a member writes hurtful or insulting things about another member or makes personal remarks with the intention of hurting or upsetting them. Personal attacks can also include comments made about a group of members and names don’t have to be mentioned in order for behavior to be considered a personal attack.”
RedBubble is a respectful, supportive and encouraging community of people, many of which are from America and Alaska.
    Kind regards

  • I was not personally attacking any specific group. I didn’t say “All Americans” and I definitely did not say “Alaskans” or a racial group I was talking about people who were kicked out of America and it was not a personal attack on them. If you knew anything about them, you’d know that most of them are quite proud of it. And, they will rob you, kill you or rape you. It’s a statistical fact of life, not an attack, to mention it. But, whatever. I’m not reading any more of your messages and I surely won’t be commenting on anything you have to say.
Hope you have the good sense, while you are condemning me falsely, to at least keep the warning in your head, because it’s a dangerous place for people who are too politically correct to even mention the truth in public.
Alaskans would not be in the least offended. I know.
    Goodbye.
